Working with HR and business leaders to develop and implement the communications plan which underpins the announcement of organisational restructures resulting with redundancies. The role is bank-wide and supports senior business leaders by developing clear, simple and timely employee communications.

Working on the HR simplification agenda for employees in the UK, I project managed and implemented two change projects into Business Services for c.17,000 employees. The first was a move from paper to electronic payslips, which supports the HR online strategy, reduces printing and distribution costs. The second was service improvements to our employee exit.

I was responsible for the delivery of the bank's global employee opinion surveys (Our View, Culture & Reputation, Joiner & Leavers) within Business Services, a global divison of c 30,000 employees. Providing key people insight and research to HR Executives, Leaders and HR BP's for the survey responses of c. 26,000 employees (for Our View) across the UK.

I partnered with three of the leadership team of the global Technology function of c. 7,000 employees across 52 countries. I supported the creation of their people plans during a period of significant change for the Bank, following the acquisition of ABN Amro and the economic downturn in 2008. I successfully led the programme to manage a business.

Developed the people plan to underpin the Business strategy.

I managed and implemented a number of change projects including; coaching for Group Technology employees, as a method to improve performance. I also introduced a revised approach to mentoring in the Manufacturing Division, to support employee talent discussions across the UK business. I led on behalf of Technology Services, the transfer from our Retail.

I developed effective relationships with my partners working together to create and implement people plans in a highly unionised environment. Working with line managers and employees to demonstrate the important contribution that employee engagement makes to the business performance scorecard. I provided the commercial analysis of people related issues.

I undertook a number of transactional roles including absence, maternity, pensions and recruitment. Latterly I led a team of 12 employees, managing the recruitment of Customer Service staff for the East of Scotland and North England. I introduced a telephone pre-screen to accelerate the selection process. This method was later adopted across BT for.
