At Skagit Farmers Supply, I started out by operating a John Deere boomsprayer. I was then assigned a project to solve corn planting issues via fertilizer recommendations, seed used, as well as stand counts. From there on, I had the privilege of assisting agronomists with fertilizer and chemical recommendations, and scouting fields for weed, pest, and disease pressure.

In the five springs and summers that I worked there, I learned irrigation managment, equipment mechanics, basic potato fertility, as well as operation management.
