Blake Case, a native of Jackson, Mississippi, has nearly 10 years of strategic communications experience in politics, nonprofits, and issue advocacy. He currently focuses on public relations and communications for nonprofits, advocates, and businesses driving social change at EMC Communications, a PR agency based in the Bay Area. Clients at EMC have included Business for a Fair Minimum Wage, Economic Security Project, Equal Rights Advocates, Institute for the Future, Sempervirens Fund and others. After graduating from Mississippi State University, Blake served as a communications assistant in the Mississippi Legislature to Rep. Sonya Williams-Barnes. In 2014, he managed signature collection for a statewide ballot initiative where he oversaw the gathering of over 40,000 petition signatures. In 2015, he managed the day-to-day social media operations and digital content creation for Initiative 42, a statewide ballot initiative to achieve consistently adequate funding for the state’s public schools. From 2017 through February 2022, he served as Manager of Marketing and Public Awareness for the Women's Foundation of Mississippi. He has also done social media organizing and grassroots lobbying with The Parents’ Campaign, a public education advocacy group in Jackson. He served on the Advisory Boards for both the LGBTQ Fund of Mississippi and Mississippi Free Press, and has a history of social justice activism.
