As perpetual learner, I seek knowledge to better understand the world around me and to implement solutions to situations where I see potential for improvement. I work well individually or collaboratively. I enjoy researching topics that interest me in my spare time and as a result indulge myself in scholarly articles from health and fitness to economics to psychology and more. This imbues me with additional experience in areas I do not consider myself proficient as I look to improve such about myself. Having worked in retail for 4 and a half years now, my experience from sales to supply chain is extensive. Much of what I know today was learned through my own ambitions in the pursuit of excellence and from observations on those more experienced. I do not fear criticism and challenge is my ally. I value myself greatly as a person and yet I am my own rival. I can always be better today than I was yesterday and to that point I am a quick learner and tend to seek new horizons upon mastery of my previous responsibilities. My belief in myself and my success is far greater than any external motivation. I have an internal locus of control and can be a perfectionist at times, but I can also keep my perspective of the bigger picture in light of the little things that may not meet my expectations of perfection. Ultimately I consider myself a powerful asset to those who promote a conducive environment to my strengths. I am Blake and I can’t wait to make an impact.
