I have been captivated by storytelling my whole life, from movies to shows to lego's, but nothing has brought me more excitement recently than learning React Three Fiber & and the journey of pursing a life in website and experience development. I started my professional career as an accomplished actor in Hollywood, getting my degree from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Then going on to play leading roles in a feature film & stage plays for over 3,000 people. Movies like The Thorn which was shown in over 800 theaters nation wide. (What an amazing and wild ride that was!).After coming back to my home town of Coeur d'alene Idaho, I had a desire to launch myself into the next challenge, becoming a frontend developer! I went through a intensive bootcamp to earn a certificate in UI/UX Design from Bethel School of Technology. It's Where I learned industry standard design and the basic of html, css and javascript. After graduating I took it upon myself to expand past just UI/UX designed websites on Figma.I wanted full functioning websites with stories and life, a real experience.I found an amazing education in the form of Three.js Journey from Bruno Simon. (highly suggest the course to anyone desiring to learn more about the future of website design.) This was exactly what I was looking for to extend my creativity and begin to see the websites come to life. I've learned a broad amount in this course from advanced coding standards, improved model loading and sizing, shaders, raycasting, baking, animation and post processing. Around this same time I started to pick up blender and fell in love again. Blender, with help from my creativity I honed in my acting career, it let me build to the limit of what I could think of.With all these tool in hand I set out to develop my first fully developed experience driven website using Three.js, react three fiber, and many many other tools I discovered along the way. It was the greatest education so far. From learning which css style I liked, how to load models correclty and incorrectly, importing models and textures and animations from blender, adding backend email support and functionality to the website, and making sure everything is responsive for a variety of devices from iphone to computers.There was hundreds of lessons throughout the journey. I'm proud to have that website live now in the link in my Portfolio Post. Overall I'm just excited to see what is coming next and what stories are going to be told next!
