Blake is an environmental technician based on the Gold Coast, currently contributing to an environmental consultancy firm. With a strong commitment to developing expertise in surface and groundwater management, soil science, agriculture, environmental impact assessment, and GIS, Blake is continually expanding his knowledge and skill set. He is also pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Geography), specializing in climate change, natural hazards, and the dynamics between urban and natural environments.Blake's work involves supporting environmental assessments and projects across the SEQ region and Northern NSW. This includes monitoring, data collection, analysis, and report generation related to water quality (both surface and groundwater), soil profiling and assessment (including acid sulfate soils), and the development of rehabilitation and agricultural land management plans.In addition, Blake is enhancing his fieldwork capabilities across diverse environmental areas, gaining practical experience in groundwater and surface water sampling, soil profiling, surveying, borehole construction, and GPS-based mapping.Blake's knowledge extends beyond his professional role through his active membership in his local fire brigade, where he serves as a qualified Firefighter and Volunteer Community Educator (VCE). This experience has equipped him with firsthand insight into urban hazard interactions, wildfire mitigation, post-disaster recovery, and community resilience-building techniques.
