Blake Matthew is a Vancouver-based composer and storyteller who has scored over 80 films in the past seven years. With a background in Music Technology and a specialization in electronic music production and sound design, Blake has composed scores for over 75 short films and 5 feature films. He scored his first feature film, Infeccion, in 2018, which premiered at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood and was released in Latin American theaters in 2019. This accomplishment earned him a Leo Award for Best Music in a Motion Picture. In early 2019, Blake scored two more feature films, After the Rain and Funhouse, which premiered in Kyrgyzstan and Sweden in 2020. He has also collaborated with Gigi Saul Guerrero and Raynor Shima of Luchagore Productions on their short film Mistress of Bones and the feature film anthology Satanic Hispanics. Blake is currently the lead composer and sound designer for the blockchain video game Tiny Colony (under the alias of Dr. Corpse) and a trailer composer for the music licensing trailer house Studio Rev. He is a member of the Screen Composers Guild of Canada and has apprenticed under Canadian film composers Terry Frewer and Daniel Ingram.
