My name is Blake Boren, and I am a senior at the University of Texas at Austin. I will graduate in May 2025 with a Mechanical Engineering degree specializing in Automotive and Vehicle Systems Engineering. With a family history in racing motocross, I first threw my legs over a dirt bike at age five. When those wheels hit the dirt, I knew I belonged in the mechanical realm. My time spent racing motocross in my early years fueled my passion to pursue a career in automotive or aerospace engineering and develop innovative solutions for the industry. This passion was further solidified in my internship at ADVANTEC and my time in the Texas Rocket Engineering laboratory, where I utilized AutoCAD and manufacturing techniques for electric vehicles and aerospace components. I’m motivated to contribute to design and manufacturing, with experience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Additive manufacturing, FEA, and more.
