(For the sake of your taste buds, I hope the answer is “yes.”) These are just a few of the more than 40 Columbus brands we’ve partnered with in 2015, each designed carefully to ensure the brand’s true character shines through in the space. Beyond the best of food and drink, we play a role in building the organizations that shape the city’s culture, including Experience Columbus, Glass Axis, and most recently, the Columbus Idea Foundry, a transformative project in the creative district of Franklinton. At Compton Construction, we embrace Columbus’s love for the quirky and creative, and work to amplify the collaborative energy that pulses through the city. The business has become one of the fastest-growing companies in central Ohio, widely recognized for our commitment to doing great work and doing good within Columbus.Community building isn’t always done with hammers and nails. I’m involved in a number of organizations that advocate for women, empower disadvantaged youth and foster local arts. Over the past few years, I’ve led community initiatives with The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio, Wild Goose Creative, Glass Axis, Girls on the Run, AIDS Resource Center and several others. When I’m not busy developing spaces for clients, you can find me (usually from a distance – I have a thing for brightly colored pants) restoring my Old Town East home, enjoying a beer at local breweries and supporting The Columbus Crew at every opportunity.
