I learned general and specific information from experienced coworkers and personal research, about residential and commercial electrical procedures and resources in a short period (3 months). With that knowledge and training, with maintained our department to look well and offered knowledgeable assistance to customers of all ages. In addition, I communicated and collaborated with other departments using phones connected to the same network to ensure customer satisfaction. Towards the end of my time there, my manager gave me the freedom to arrange certain parts of the department how I thought would best sell our products. All of this allowed me to get a hands-on experience and perspective of the hard work that is done inside of on-ground locations and to see how technology could be used to improve on-ground ease.

I spent time during multiple college breaks at my local grocery store, Safeway. For this job, my coworkers and I received orders from the store's online system, went onto the floor and grab the groceries, brought them back and organized them, and then waited until we received a phone call and brought the groceries out of the store to the customer. The size and amount of the orders were unpredictable, leading to frequent time constraints. The system that we operated in was not very good and the phones that we used to scan were not very helpful. Due to this I took leadership and helped organize and direct the department. I was recommended to become the manager but due to my age at the time, I wasn't allowed to do that. The job allowed me to gain leadership skills in a work environment and make connections with my coworkers that allowed us to overcome some issues with our system.

This was my very first job and I learned a lot of the basics of being an employee. For this job, I worked with my coworkers to monitor guests on the trampolines and use our creativity to offer a safe and fun experience. We learned safe jumping techniques, the best way to make them known to guests, and protocols for how to deal with injuries whenever needed. Due to that, being a court monitor came with a lot of responsibility that we did not take lightly. Once when someone broke their ankle on my court, I made sure to take the correct steps to ensure the jumper's well-being as well as the company's legal well-being by taking it slow and acting without panic. This job opened the door for me to gain skills in working under pressure, punctuality, focus, public speaking, leading, and working with others to create a fun and safe atmosphere.
