Account Executive with the Commercial Insurance Department of HUB International Insurance Brokers, located in Burnaby, BC. I began my insurance career when I joined HUB International in 2010. I started out at HUB International as a Commercial Insurance Processor before being promoted to the position of Customer Service Representative, Account Manager, and finally my current role as Account Executive. As an Account Executive, I am responsible for providing insurance products and services to a number of commercial clients, and providing insurance advice and expertise to clients throughout the year. I specialize in providing advice on managing risk exposure for a number of industries, including Mechanical Contracting, Security, Concrete and currently a dedicated member to MCABC, TECA, CANASA & the BC Ready-Mix Association.At HUB we work with all of our clients to assist in controlling their Total Cost of Risk. We do this by:•Negotiating coverage and leveraging our relationships with the insurance providers to keep the coverage broad and premiums competitive.•Conducting coverage gap analysis to ensure our clients know where their greatest exposures lie.•Working (following a loss) with our client and the insurance provider to ensure claims are settled in a fair and timely manner.•Engaging with our Senior Risk Managers so we can create and implement risk management programs to prepare organizations properly for losses and ensure business continuity.
