I work with multiple projects in the Phoenix Office to implement lean principles and utilize tools such as Last Planner System and 5S.

Project TildenProject Tilden is a large data center with a high level of redundancy. I was on the electrical scope of the facility and worked with submittals, RFIs, cost issues, field inspections, commissioning, and closeout.

Target 49 Solar Project - Southern California - 7 Months SunPower solar modules were installed on Target rooftops throughout southern California. Each roof will generate on average 510 KWac of power for the store. I was responsible for the on-site quality program. Solar Star PV Project - Rosamond, CA - 597 MWac - 4 MonthsThe Solar Star PV Project is the largest solar PV power plant in the world and was developed by SunPower in the Antelope Valley near LA. It powers over 250,000 homes with 1.7 million PV panels. The scope I was involved with is the installation of dampers on every tracker to remove the possibility of future wind damage. I was responsible for the QC process, production tracking and reporting, all RFIs and permits, and the lean innovation initiative on site. Quinto PV Project - Los Banos, CA - 110 MWac - 6 monthsThis is a large single axis solar project developed by SunPower in the central valley near San Jose. It will generate 110 MWac of clean energy for nearly 41,000 households. I was involved in the preconstruction phase of the project and setup many of the supplier and subcontractor agreements. I also performed QC for the foundation and mechanical scope of the project. Alamo 5 Solar - Uvalde, TX - 100 MWac - 3 months This is the largest dual axis solar power plant in the world and is located west of San Antonio. It is a 100 MWac power plant located on a 900 acre site. I performed preconstruction and mobilization services. Mortenson was the EPC on this project for foundation, mechanical, and electrical scopes.

I worked in the construction division of Continental Properties, a national property management company with multi-family, commercial, and hospitality properties. In this position I reviewed and logged invoices into Prolog, created estimates for retail projects, compared bids from general contractors, worked with municipalities on permitting, and other various tasks both in the preconstruction and construction phase of a project.

I was a research assistant underneath Dr. Woo working on a BIM project entitled "Virtual Retrofit Model for Aging Commercial Buildings in a Smart Grid Environment" that was done in conjunction with the Wisconsin Energy Research Consortium. The Milwaukee County Research Park building was retrofitted with a network of sensors that correlate to a Virtual Retrofit Model (VRM) constructed in Revit. Once the data was collected, it was analyzed to determine how energy in the building was utilized and where possible opportunities are to reduce energy consumption.

I worked on Project Legacy; the new VA Medical Center in New Orleans. This is a $1.27 billion defend-in-place facility designed to care for our nations heroes during the next Hurricane Katrina. I helped project engineers in the office by creating, reviewing, and managing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, quality control issues, and much more. In the field I assisted superintendents with inspections and other tasks.While I was on the project a cast in place central energy plant was being topped out, interior finish work was taking place in a historic office building renovation, two steel medical buildings were being erected, and piles were being driven for other buildings. This enabled me to experience several stages of a normal construction project on a single site.

I assisted project managers on healthcare, public works, and higher education projects in the Milwaukee area with a focus on cost and schedule control.I was heavily involved with the Milwaukee Streetcar Project preconstruction phase. Responsibilities included: reviewing subconsultant invoices and preparing an invoice for the City of Milwaukee DPW; preparing the schedule, project management plan, and other documents that were required by either the City of Milwaukee or the FTA; and creating the ftp collaboration website.I was also involved with the project management services for the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare group in Milwaukee, Racine, and Iowa. This included reviewing contractor's invoices, insurance, and schedules.

I was the office assistant for the Business Excellance Consortium (BEC) which eventually transformed into the Center for Continuing Studies and Outreach (CSO). For the BEC I prepared Lean, Six Sigma, and Project Management materials for internationally run classes and also answered phone calls and performed data entry. For the CSO I processed graduate studies applications and performed filing/data entry/answered customer inquires.

I inspected the construction of 50+ miles of new shoulder along IL Rte. 53/US Rte. 66. This project used warm mix asphalt (WMA) instead of hot mix asphalt (HMA) to be more conscious of enviornmental and ecconomic factors. This is one of the first IDOT projects to incorporate this new material. I was a member of the Flood Recovery Taskforce. The severe water damage necessitated that the whole complex be remodeled and all furniture and equipment in the lower levels of the facility be replaced. I analyzed and quoted items that ranged from milling machines to electronic components.DRS Power and Control Technologies is a contractor for the U.S. Navy. The Milwaukee division utilized Lean manufacturing principles to produce mission critical devices and military sustainment requirements.

I measured and installed fencing, railings, and structural steel. I also did computer programming and developed different formats for paperwork.
