I am a professional who has 10 years of experience in local government with all of my time being in the Public Works department. I Have spent most of my time in engineering where I have learned how to read construction plans, file/research easements, use survey equipment, track assets, inspect utility infrastructure as well as CIP projects. I have spent time as an elected official and understand the relationship council and staff must have. I also was able to see how the budget was put together and what council typically looks for when it comes to getting things funded. I am also responsible for $5M recycling contract that allows citizens to recycle with low cost, program management of the Adopt A Street program which keeps our streets with less litter and saves the citizens money. In my profession I have worked with a diverse group of people helping find a solution to their various needs during a vast range of emotions. I am in my last two semesters of my Master's program at Texas A&M Bush School for my MPA.
