• Project controls cost lead responsible for managing team of four cost engineers providing oversight for the Fluor GC contract valued at $1.8 billion. Includes oversight of Fluor direct hire labor, general conditions, subcontract oversight, procurement interface, risk analysis and back-charge control.• Responsible for negotiating change order values with general contractor and sub-tier contractors. Includes negotiations of general conditions impacts due to schedule delays, out of sequence work impacts, productivity claims and unit rate negotiations based on industry standards. • Responsible for reviewing/approving contractor change orders for budget and contractual unit rates. Includes thorough review of scope of work to ensure change order does not include any disallowed / non-reimbursable cost per the agreed contract.• Perform weekly field walk downs to verify construction progress reported by contractors. Progress analysis includes performing drawing take-offs to provide accurate quantity driven progress updates and verify established unit rates. Strong experience in progress tracking for Structural, MEP and Architectural construction trades.• Attend weekly meetings between general contractor and subcontractors to discuss schedule, engineering issues, construction execution issues and contractual modifications. • Utilize P6 schedule and reported earned value to validate monthly estimate to complete (ETC) forecast reported by contractor.• Monitor craft and subcontract work force levels to ensure planned progress is achievable and aligned with project schedule.• Responsible for reviewing and approving monthly invoices for construction and major equipment purchases. Perform field walk downs to verify equipment receipt at site.
