Hello! I'm Blake Johnson, a Master's student in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Astrophysics. I'm deeply passionate about space exploration and excited to contribute to the aerospace industry. My academic journey includes a strong foundation in astrophysics, complemented by a Data Analytics certificate. I've developed skills in Python programming, including applications in numerical methods and data analysis, and have completed coursework in Finite Element Analysis. I've also studied gas turbine and rocket propulsion, and explored complex topics like space systems and orbital mechanics. My projects have ranged from tackling the restricted three-body problem in the Neptune-Triton environment to analyzing orbital trajectories around Titan. In my capstone project, I used gravitational lenses to study light absorption by distant galaxies, conducting spectral analysis to uncover the presence of dust and gases.Beyond academics, I've worked as a science tutor, guiding students through challenging subjects like math and physics. I've also gained valuable experience in sales and leadership from my time in the insurance industry, which honed my problem-solving skills and adaptability.I'm now diving deeper into aerospace engineering, driven to turn the dreams of space exploration into reality. I'd love to connect with professionals in the space and aerospace industry and explore opportunities where I can contribute and grow.
