The Mobile Clinic Project at UCLA aims to improve the health outcomes and quality of life of the homeless and other vulnerable populations in Los Angeles by connecting them to the existing continuum of care. Most importantly, we strive to establish a safe, nonjudgmental environment where people of all backgrounds can receive direct medical care, legal advocacy, and compassionate connection.

Managed a staff of 16 peer counselors. Assigned student caseloads while continuing to peer counsel 5-10 students weekly. Advocated for Black retention on UCLA’s campus through bi-weekly events centered on student empowerment.

The core responsibility of peer counselors is to provide one-on-one peer counseling to students. Peer Counselors also lend staff support by assisting their respective components and meeting overall project objectives that align to the project's goals for the year. They must complete administrative tasks such as data entry and tracking as a part of their peer counseling responsibilities.

Worked with data collection and transcriptomics to understanding how our earliest sensory experiences pattern synaptic connections in the cortex and how this, in turn, shapes the function of neural circuitry. Assisted in employing sophisticated imaging and molecular techniques, including longitudinal multi-photon imaging of genetically encoded calcium indicators that are expressed in specific cell types, and single cell transcriptomics.

Experience with basic lab techniques including agarose and acrylamide gel electrophoresis, Western Blot, cloning (restriction digests, ligation, transformation), bioinformatics, and sterile techniques. Using PCR and DNA sequencing,investigated antibiotic-resistant mutants in E. coli genomic DNA. Reading andwriting scientific papers.

Worked as an Intern within the payroll department. Served by answering and managing a high volume of incoming calls, often taking notes, filing documents, & skilled within Microsoft Office networks.
