I was a Lab Engineer in Dr. Teresa Lever's Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery lab. I worked with other undergraduate, graduate, medical, and veterinarian school students and assisted them with their research projects by designing and printing specific 3D printed parts with a 3D printer. Their purpose is to trigger the laryngeal adductor reflex (LAR), which is a brief, bilateral closure of the vocal folds in the throat to prevent foreign material from entering the lungs.
