Data Networks Technical Lead responsible for the Transition of Network Management of the RBS Data Network from Accenture to BT.

Primarily responsible for the Network Divestment of DLG Insurance group from the RBS Network Estate. This involves migration of existing users onto a new shared network within the RBS Network, and then migrating them fully off the RBS Estate in a controlled manner. There is also a requirement to provide access to Apps using F5 BIG-IP from the new DLG environment during the Divestment works. This project will be completed with a major Decommissioning Programme of all network equipment no longer required to support the Business Users.

Primarily responsible for the Divestment of 300+ Branches and 20+ Corporate Offices for the Rainbow Network Project. This involved in depth planning and migration of Existing Data Network equipment onto a new VPN to allow easy Divestment onto SAN Network using current RBS Processes & Procedures.

Major National Migration Projects for RBS

Primarily responsible for the remote configuration of customer networks over both MSP and legacy core networks, the Data & Voice department further support the provision of C&W data products such as IP Connect, IP Native, IPVPN, EVPN, EWL, whilst also providing associated Remote Access and Customer Reporting requirements. Additionally manage customer orders, network designs, and carry out technical validation to ensure the integrity of network inventory, systems, and databases is maintained.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES• Configuration of customer networks over the C&W Legacy IPVPN, Legacy IP Select, and MSP core networks whilst ensuring that all associated customer and network documentation is maintained, inclusive of standard and non-standard customer solutions• Prior to customer utilisation, and in accordance with customer network design criteria, ensure quality assurance is maintained, and carry out post configuration testing to ensure error free installation and performance• Validate Customer Design Documentation (CDD), and/or customer order for technical accuracy and viability, whilst ensuring that any discrepancies are reported through identified local processes • Carry out network configuration and associated activities in adherence to approved Local Work Instructions and GDA configuration guidelines in order to ensure that the integrity of core networks, all systems, databases, and network inventory is maintained• Validate and carry out cease activities across core networks in line with customer requirements• Carry out Port and IP Address allocation, whilst ensuring that associated systems and databases are accurately maintained
