Grant is currently Professor in the Department of Engineering at the University of Durham. He works on two key areas of research: conventional turbomachinery and renewable devices. Both of these activities are approached from a fluid dynamics background with a focus on improving engineering designs and processes.He is responsible for delivering a number of lecture courses to undergraduates and postgraduates and also runs short courses for industry.
