Forward Progress does not hire employees, they only work with contractors. I am including this because I earned my BLACK BELT SOCIAL SELLING CERTIFICATION from Forward Progress. Not sure how much value this certification even holds. When I left there were less than a dozen people that went through the programs certification, and over 300 people who had access. As a contractor, I was a required to purchase the product and get certified. So I do hold the certification and learned a bit about LinkedIn but not more than that.I coached and trained their curriculum to businesses and clients in areas of social selling and social media marketing. Some of the clients I worked with were American Family Insurance, GE, The Private Bank, The Wright Foundation and others.After becoming certified I agreed to a contracted position. Forward progress was using outdated landing pages so I built brand new landing pages. I also created videos, email marketing campaigns, website updates and more. I created images for use on social media, wrote blog posts and coached weekly social media and social selling classes to their clients. Worked with staff to try and help market a new program. I was in charge of branding on all social media pages, and with the design of a corporate brochure. I did company research, designed a plan of execution but the company was not open to change. Something as a marketing expert I did not quite understand.The turnover at this company is higher than most places and long term employees do not work in the office. As a core member of the team, I was asked to represent Forward Progress as a speaker at the Social Media Strategies Summit in San Francisco. My responsibilities required far more hours than they would allow me to bill for. This along with not having benefits helped me make decision to move on. So glad I did as clients I referred to them were disappointed in the training and the lack of professionalism.
