During home games, I am the on-field host for between-inning games. I facilitate the games and inform participants of the instructions. During the games, I commentate without a script. I aim to get the crowd loud for the participants and games, maintaining interest throughout the duration of the game. I have had several opportunities to work with children while doing this, expanding my interpersonal skills to include interaction with a younger generation.I have worked on promotional graphics to put on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, using Canva to make the graphics. These include countdown graphics and promotions for various aspects of the Steamers organization (ticketing, birthdays/picnics, etc.). More common graphics include gameday posts, lineup posts, and final score posts.I travel with the team to community appearances. I have helped with Meals on Wheels, the local food pantry, and Smart Start.I serve as a photographer for practices and road games. I take video footage during practices and road games. Both photography and videography require me to observe the setting and players, frame my shots, and get the timing right.I have helped with various tasks in the office and around Historic Hicks Field, including but not limited to:Getting send-outs compiled for the Steamers Kids ClubCounting tickets for sponsorsOrganizing the team's locker roomPromoting new concessions mobile-order system around Historic Hicks FieldStocking drinks in the concessions standHelping put up sponsor signage around Historic Hicks FieldDelivering tickets to sponsors around Edenton with another internAdditionally, I have served as the team's unofficial dugout morale manager. In this position, I aim to keep the players engaged in the game, encouraging them to push through towards the end and not give up, no matter what the scoreboard says.
