I am a sport management professional with over 20 years’ experience being actively involved in the sports industry in Australia and internationally with expertise in sport for development, sports development, elite team management, education, community development, international development and high performance sport.Academically, I am well qualified holding a Masters of International and Community Development from Deakin University (2016), Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) (2004) and Bachelor of Applied Science (Sport Management) from Western Sydney University (2003). I have achieved other relevant qualifications including Certificate IV in Project Management from TAFE NSW (2009) and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from Aurora Training (2008).Professionally, I have worked with some of the leading organisations in Australia including GHD, Sport Australia, National Rugby League, Western Sydney University, University of Technology Sydney, NSW Sport and Recreation, NSW Department of Education & Training, St.George Illawarra Dragons and Australian Rugby League Development. I have also worked for an international government in Vanuatu (Department of Youth Development, Sports and Training) and at the 2012 London Paralympic Games. In addition I have taken on a range of professional and volunteer positions at all levels from grassroots to international. From being Secretary of Hurstville United Junior Rugby League Football Club right through to being a Founding Board Member of Vanuatu Rugby League, Chair/Steering Board Member of the International Platform on Sport & Development and Board Member of Artistic Swimming Australia. I have managed international sporting teams for both Vanuatu Rugby League and Vanuatu Cricket Association. I've also strongly engaged, including being an Academic , with tertiary institutes through the Western Sydney University and University of Technology Sydney Sports Management programs to mentor the next generation of sport management professionals.

The program supports thirty-seven Pacific National Sporting Federations across the eleven sports and nine countries. The event was run in partnership with the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and had funding from the RLIF and NSW State Government. A key feature was the live streaming of all matches, taking the event to the world (including new markets) and showcasing the fact the sport is now played in more than 50 countries.The success of the event has seen the RLIF adding the event to its permanent calendar and portfolio of events and RLIF Chairman John Grant commented "...my praise, admiration and thanks go to Organising Committee who have worked alongside the many volunteers from around the world and the RLIF to deliver such a magnificent event.” -
