Coached over 75 high-potential managers from several federal departments to build skills to achieve individual and organizational goals. Through Brookings Executive Education program, administered individual assessments to managers and coached them to strengthen knowledge gained from training.

Developed strategies to instill diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) practices in all areas of GAO’s programs. Co-founded in 2014 the African American Senior Executives (AASE) to advise GAO’s Executive Committee on actions to increase diversity and inclusion. Among actions proposed and implemented: informal mentoring for all staff, training for all managers in developing staff, strategies for recruiting and retaining minority staff, and oversight of DE&I functions by a senior executive. Coordinated numerous professional development seminars and training for all staff in conjunction with AASE. Served as a subject matter expert for developing agency-wide mentoring and leadership training programs.

Managed high-performing teams of analysts and auditors in developing over 15 reports with recommendations to improve delivery of federal programs related to export control, Army modernization, Navy shipbuilding, and DOD and civilian acquisition workforce. Testified before Congressional committees on these recommendations to help minimize program overlap, duplication, and fragmentation across all Executive Branch programs.

Led teams of analysts and auditors reviewing federal program expenditures for FAA’s air traffic modernization programs and government-wide human capital management initiatives. Made recommendations to congressional committees for savings of nearly $5M from FAA’s budget over a 10-year period based on delays and other challenges in FAA air traffic modernization programs. Developed best practices for implementing federal equal opportunity and diversity initiatives that were adopted by GAO and other federal agencies.
