This position title designates the senior NCO of the command at the battalion level to carry out policies and standards, and advises the commander on the performance, training, appearance, and conduct of enlisted Soldiers. The command sergeant major administers the unit Non-commissionedOfficer’s Development Program.

Serves as First Sergeant (General Engineering Supervisor); responsible for the health, welfare, training, morale, professional development, deployablilty, and safety of 154 Soldiers; supervises general engineering activities related to all construction and utility operations; assists engineering officers in construction planning, scheduling, and material estimates; provides staff supervision and principal non-commissioned officer direction to elements engaged in performing general engineering missions, construction, and training activities.

General Engineering Supervisor Supervises general engineering activities related to all construction and utility operations. Assist engineering officer in construction planning, scheduling, and material estimating. Assist in the preparation of operation orders, standing operating procedures, and contingency plans. Provides staff supervision and principal noncommissioned officer direction to units engaged in performing general engineering missions. Inspect construction and training activities. Supervise performance of combat engineering missions.

Horizontal construction engineers operate heavy equipment to construct a wide array of projects, per the needs of the operations. Construction and maintenance of roadways, pipelines, drainage structures, as well as buildings and other vertical structures.

Oversaw the daily construction operation and execution of 10-15, 3-story buildings, avg 30k ft2 per building/ +/-$50M per project, from project inception through completion, in phases. Ensured project schedules were executed safely with quality as a priority. Managed these projects through use of Procore for drawings, schedule, RFI's, daily log and observations. Trained six new assistant superintendents to the rigors and details of site management. Led team of six personnel and managed 50 vendors to construct $15M maintenance facility. Spearheaded all phases of project lifecycle, solutions analysis and development, strategic planning, and tactical implementation. Directed budget, procurement, resource allocation, cost controls, schedules, and prioritization of goals to meet project objectives. Liaised with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment with scope deliverables. Headed daily project reviews with key stakeholders, delivered monthly status reports to senior executives. Supervised team performance, provided ongoing constructive feedback to optimize execution and time management. Read and interpreted building codes, construction plans, and specifications. Oversaw HSE compliance, identified and mitigated risks.• Delivered project to owner’s satisfaction 65 days ahead of schedule.

Managed logistics operations support for 273 large equipment assets across the US and Canada. Optimized asset utilization, mobilization, and demobilization across current and future projects. Directed $7M budget, oversaw asset generated income. • Within one year fulfilled position solo, completing tasks previously undertaken by team of three.

Supervised four maintenance planners, equipment engineers, and mechanics to support maintenance operations and maximize equipment availability. Developed, monitored, and maintained weekly and annual repair schedules. Assisted in establishment and adherence to $12M budget. Tested telematics devices, inspected electronic diverse equipment applications.• Overcame technology hesitancy among end-users to integrate mobile equipment inspection applications.

Supervises team of fleet maintenance planners. Responsible for the planning, scheduling and budgeting for the equipment fleet. Ensure crews understand and comply with all federal, state, and company health, safety, and environmental requirements. Long/short range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Use reliability and failure analysis data to increase equipment availability and reliability. Ensure accurate record keeping of daily tasks performed by maintenance team.

The Equipment Engineer is a salaried position responsible for supporting maintenance operations and equipment cost control in their assigned area. Equipment downtime management, failure analysis, and component forecasting comprise the more technical aspects of this position. Leadership and team interaction to highlight the prioritization of jobs allows for a concerted effort to best utilize manpower resources. To support these opertations, I took on the role to become the local expert on remote reporting, electronic equipment inspections through hand-held devices, and quality assurance of system information.

Served as Project Manager conducting preliminary design, oversee construction, and perform QA/QC on military construction projects. Duties included land useage and management, coordination with Environmental and Cultural Protection services, and coordination and direction of field labor personnel.

Served in Special Operations Infantry role. Duties included operating in high stress environments for extended periods to complete assigned tasks with short timelines in hostile environments. Clear communications, effective team building skills, and ability to appropriately respond to unforeseen problems were required.
