I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy working in Home Healthcare managing post-hospitalization and post-operative care of patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular/pulmonary conditions. I specialize in chronic musculoskeletal pain and have worked for the past 5 years helping patient's overcome pain and live their lives to the fullest. I have worked as a Physical Therapist in acute care, hospital outpatient, outpatient private practice, and now home care. During that time I served as the lead PT on a collaborative hospital team composed of rehabilitation department administrators, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, physical therapists, and social workers to build a program that would more effectively support those with chronic and acute spine pain. I use my Physical Therapy knowledge combined with dual-bachelor degrees in Kinesiology and Spanish to help English and Spanish-speaking clients participate fully in the activities that bring meaning to their lives. I studied Spanish from 6th grade through college and studied abroad in Ecuador and Nicaragua. Since then I have worked with Spanish-speaking clients inside the clinic and in their homes.Movement is essential to our physical and mental wellbeing but sometimes we encounter resistance in the form of pain, health conditions, old and current injuries, and overwhelm about where to start or how to get back into physical activity. We all deserve to create confidence and meaning through movement, and I help people navigate obstacles by learning and developing the skills they need to move freely.
