Technical management of a $15 million mission computer upgrade and $28 million/12 unit avionics upgrade development programs for the C-17 aircraft. Platform Solutions is the leading supplier of avionic equipment for the C-17. Project management of various engineering disciplines to develop requirements, design, build, and qualify system hardware and software. Extensive travel and frequent customer interface to represent Platform Solutions during all phases of the program. Responsible for all aspects of engineering, including design to cost and project earned value and program metrics.

Leadership of Systems, Software, and Hardware functions to develop and test the Ground Station portion of an unmanned reconnaissance aircraft; Project required a short turn schedule of 1 year from concept to unmanned demonstration at the LIMA 2001 international air show. Required 2-month on-site integration and flight test effort in Malaysia.

Project engineer for A-10 computer hardware upgrade program. Leadership to retrofit LASTE computer with new CPU and I/O cards. Coordinate all aspects of the program, including engineering design and debug, operational build of hardware, and operational test of the new hardware. Provided interface between the engineering and the factory communities to ensure seamless handoff of the hardware.

Test Equipment Lead engineer for flight control of JSF Concept Demonstrator. Coordinated both hardware and software aspects of the program, including scheduling and cost tracking, to rescue a program that was in trouble from a problem supplier. Modify existing equipment that did not meet customer needs. Extensive customer interface required travel during the aggressive schedule to meet the customer commitment to the government. Technical specialty includes digital bus interfaces (VME, RS232, 1553, Arinc-429).Earlier: Programmer for ECS, a real-time flight control system for General Electric Aircraft Controls. Assumed the lead role for BIT software development. This position required system level knowledge and skills. Tasks included software design, code, and test in both C and 8797 Assembler to MIL-STD-2167.
