I retired as a Sheriff's Sergeant after 30 years with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department (SSD). While with SSD, I specialized in Community & School Policing. Immediately after my retirement, I entered into a contract services agreement to be the Safe Schools Field Operations Coordinator for the San Juan Unified School District (SJUSD) working 30 hours per week. I was also sworn in as the Chief of Police for the Fulton El Camino Park Police. I worked these two positions for five years before retiring as the Chief and accepting a full time position as the Safe Schools Manager for the SJUSD. After six years as the Safe Schools Manager, I took advantage of an early retirement offer and officially retired on June 30, 2021. After my retirement from the SSD and during my time as Chief and with the SJUSD I tested with the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) to become a Qualified Manager and private Investigator (PI). I passed the test but did little as a PI until my retirement on June 30, 3021. Since then, I am investigating two homicide cases, a disability fraud case, a Breach of Contract property case, a very sad child abuse case and, of course, a suspected cheating husband case. I have also completed numerous background investigations, served numerous processes, recovered an embezzled vehicle, an embezzled 65 foot motor yacht and some stolen property. I have been successful in the above investigations which has resulted in additional calls for investigative services. I enjoy what I do and I enjoy my time off too.
