A founding principal of Hahn & Hahn Team, he has over 30 years of experience creating solutions for a broad range of urban and rural community planning needs. The son of an Army Colonel, Bob, was born in Washington DC, but spent much of his childhood moving around Europe, Japan, and a number of states in the U.S., finally settling in the Presidio of San Francisco which unleashed his passion for urban planning. Today, the Presidio is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area as well as the U.S. National Park Service. It houses organizations dedicated to global community and sustainability, which became the very mission of Hahn & Hahn Team, Inc. Bob received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley and his Master’s degree in City Planning from The Ohio State University. Bob is a land use planner and expert witness who, through his writings, lectures, public service, and built work, advocates nationally and internationally for smart growth and sustainable problem solving. He has the innate ability to integrate his analytical and intuitive community planning, grant development, housing, private/governmental relations and technical assistance skills into every project he takes on.
