An accomplished executive with experience leading successful teams in the strategic distribution of investment solutions at the retail and institutional levels. In his current role, Bob is responsible for leading the InspereX wholesalers in the distribution of structured products to financial professionals. With a focus on the training & education of complex products and a culture of compliance, InspereX is a key strategic partner to many of the industries largest and most successful broker-dealers and wealth management firms.Prior to joining InspereX (formerly Incapital), Mr. McDermott was a Senior Vice President and Head of Relationship Management at F-Squared Investments. In this role he lead a team of Relationship Management and Sales professionals and was responsible for National Key-Account Management, Platform Sales, and Global Client Service. Previously, Mr. McDermott helped start Orinda Asset Management, where he was a partner and served as Principal of the Capital Markets Group. At Orinda, Bob contributed to the successful launch of two “liquid alternative” solutions which uniquely positioned hedge fund managers in the retail mutual fund marketplace. Prior to Orinda, Mr. McDermott enjoyed a 16 year career at Putnam Investments where he served as a Senior Vice President of the firm’s retail management division. In addition to contributing as a successful wholesaler for many years, Bob was also responsible for guiding the launch of the Insurance Investment-Only sales team and distributed institutional money market products. Mr. McDermott received a BA in Political Science from Providence College and currently holds Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
