Although my work history is deeply rooted in the printing industry, I have numerous experiences that make me exceptionally well rounded. Up until recently, I was the Lead Prepress Operator of a 15-person department for a major international book manufacturer. This position was in a computer-dependent environment with both Mac and PC platforms, and I have become very adept at navigating each including the network itself (a star topology), fat clients, distributed databases and various applications both printing and network related. I have learned the importance of teamwork and developed a keen understanding of integrating the roles and personalities of different individuals. I excelled at this position because of my solid troubleshooting skills and my consistent ability to produce in a timely and cost effective manner. I am often called upon to “finish the job” and I take pride in all of these attributes.One of my strongest attributes is my ability to learn quickly and adapt to change. I am an incredibly quick study and constantly strive to learn new things. I push for and enjoy taking on roles and challenges. I have been told the greatest strength I possess is my ability to think outside the box.I take great pride in my college career. Knowing my prepress career was on the decline as printing is a recessed industry; in August of 2009 I decided to attend Axia College of University of Phoenix. My goal of an Associate’s Degree in IT/Networking was realized in May 2010 with a final GPA of 3.94. I very likely will consider further education to a BS, MS certifications and possibly beyond. I have also obtained my Microsoft A+ and Network+ Certifications.Specialties: Experienced print professional with more than 30 years experience.
