Technical Product Manager at Intrinsic ID, the world’s leading digital authentication company and the inventor of SRAM Physical Unclonable Function or SRAM PUF. Intrinsic ID leverages inherent manufacturing variations in chips to create unique IDs and keys to authenticate chips, data, devices and systems. Since a unique ID can be extracted easily from SRAM with Intrinsic ID’s technology, adding authentication and key provisioning is much less expensive than with conventional methods and no additional hardware is needed.

Currently leading several Hardware R&D teams in multiple locations in Europe. Managing roughly 60 engineers with skills varying from Digital IP design, Analog design, SOC design to Embedded Software. Between 1994 and now, I had various positions at Inside Secure in Vught, the Netherlands, starting in 1994 at Pijnenburg Custom Chips, which was renamed into Securealink in 2000. In 2001 Securealink was acquired by SafeNet and in 2008, the ESS division of SafeNet was acquired by AuthenTec. In 2012, AuthenTec was bought by Apple for the finger print reader and the ESS division was sold by Apple to Inside Secure. Responsible for managing several teams across sites in the Netherlands, France and Scotland, with in total 60 hardware and embedded software developers. Primary activities include: customer specific and roadmap development. Working together with customers and internal departments such as sales, product management, finance, marketing and the engineering teams for the execution of development projects. Achievements: - 1-40Gbps IPsec, MACsec packet engines for Networking customers;- Trusted Platform modules to protect assets in secure SOC’s; - Counter measure implementations of AES and PKA engines; - Development for roughly 10 HW-IP modules, Kasumi, SNOW, ZUC, Poly1305, Chacha20, etc;- Transitioning physical and analogue teams of the R&D department into other companies;- New certificates for Common Criteria, ISO-27001 and ISO-9001;- Ramped up a team in Scotland and transformed from SOC to HW-IP design;- Driving a student program to train interns and select the best ones for a job.Experienced in Program management, Scrum, Agile using Jira. Leading the Hardware IP development team and managing all projects in R&D. Achievements:- Development of customer specific IPsec, SSL and MACsec engines, Public Key Accelerators and True Random Number generators. - Development of AMBA AXI, AHB and APB interfaces, both synchronous and asynchronous.- Development of a proprietary RTL test system using Python for mathematical tests on crypto graphic designs.- Development of an FPGA test system based that works together with the simulation based test system.- Development of Cryptographic Middleware and achieved the FIPS-140-2 level 2 certificate.
