Senior Hydrogeologist for the La Grange groundwater assessment project, a project funded by Royalties for Regions. Hydrogeological work principally involves:1 Review of the Broome Sandstone from existing data,2 Bore inventory, including surveying bores and collecting groundwater samples,3 Supervising drilling monitoring bores,4 Test pumping existing bores and5 Collecting groundwater samples for isotope analysis and dating.Senior Hydrogeologist for the Rural Towns – Liquid Assets program, a multi-agency project funded by local, state and commonwealth governments to improve water self-sustainabilty and control salinity and waterlogging in 15 rural wheatbelt towns. Hydrogeological work principally involves:• Assessment, planning and supervision of investigation and production bore drilling programs.• Supervising test pumping program and analysing test pumping data to determine aquifer parameters and predict water table drawdowns.• Optimization of production bore pumping rates to lower water tables in rural towns.• Monitoring groundwater levels in rural towns using dataloggers to see effect of production bore pumping.• Preparation of groundwater section of Water Management Plans with borefield operating strategies and groundwater treatment and/or disposal options.

Groundwater assessments and monitoring in the Northern Territory. Based in Alice Springs. Responsible for the planning, execution and reporting of water resource assessment and development projects in the southern region of the Northern Territory. Duties include: Supervising the technical aspects of water resource investigation and development projects, and supervise the activities of staff involved in these projects.Prepare estimates and timetables for projects and monitor and control expenditure during the course of the work.Ensure appropriate technical standards are maintained with regard to data quality , project performance and reporting.Provide specialist advise on technical matters to clients and the public.The work has involved: supervising and analysing drilling and test pumping programs, down-hole geophysical logging, sample collection and analysis, interpretation of airborne and surface geophysical data, the use of aerial photography and remotely sensed imagery, analysis and interpretation of monitoring data and writing reports on projects.Have carried out flood forecasting duties for the town of Alice Springs during the flood forecasting season.

Seconded to the Ministry of Water Resources, Sultanate of Oman. Member of team conducting study of and reporting on water loss in karstic limestone. Supervised drilling of boreholes for monitoring network. Analysed groundwater data for both water levels and water quality. Installed and operated dataloggers and chart recorders to monitor water levels including retrieval and storage of the data. Training of Omani's in the set up and maintenance of dataloggers and data bases.

Investigating water resources mainly around mine sites. Maintained data base of and applied for groundwater licences. Wrote reports on aquifer assessment for inclusion with groundwater licence applications. Supervised production and observation borehole drilling for mine process water supply. Carried out test pumping programs on production boreholes. Analysed drilling programs and test pumping programs and wrote reports on the results.
