The Associate Planner carries out activities related to review and processing of developmentapplications, including the preparation of written and oral reports and recommendations to the ZoningAdministrator, Architectural and Site Review Committee, Planning Commission and City Council, sitedesign evaluation, interaction with applicants and the public, and coordination of review by otherdepartments and agencies. Under direction, the Associate Planner also researches, prepares and carriesout comprehensive, professional activities related to special studies and area plans, zoningordinance/map amendments, elements of the General Plan and Local Coastal Program, environmentalresource protection, trip reduction program, CEQA/NEPA environmental review, demographic andeconomic data gathering, research and analysis, historical preservation, and other related work asassigned.

Aerial Flight Mechanic. Directed the pilots, managed gear and equipment, operated the hoist, communicate and oversee the safety of the rescue technicians, and many other tasks and responsibilities including all aspects of maintenance on the helicopter.
