I began my tenure with Fidelity in the mainframe automation space, primarily developing REXX scripts to support production alert and custom automation. I also took advantage of my Java skills, and went outside my core role to create a change management tool that is used by all of mainframe hosting and some distributed users (80+ users). In addition to this innovative process improvement I was selected for an internal innovation program where my work around the topic of financial literacy was selected as one of six teams to present to senior vice presidents across technology within the firm.Due to my exemplary work I was selected to take on a new role, in which I supported MQ infrastructure and file replication with RRDF.

While I got to have my hands on a bit of everything from CA products, to CICS, Java programming, to product installs, my primary area of focus was the operating system. Having a boss who believed in the "old ways" I learned to install z/OS via the manual SMP/e process. I installed z/OS 1.8, 1.9, and 1.10, during my tenure. I was also recognized with an internal innovation award for a Windows-based Java tool I built to streamline a piece of our operating system installation process. Outside of my core role, I was part of a volunteer team that worked closely with senior management around employee recognition.
