Supplied break/fix support for AOL’s two 180,000 square foot computer datacenters. Technical focus was on repair and monitoring of over 40,000 servers and network equipment including HP, Dell, Penguin, Juniper and SUN. Worked on all flavors of OS including Linux, Windows, HPUX and Solaris

Performed contract work which consisted of supplying back line support to field engineers and customers. Focused on HP Enterprise Servers including Itanium, 9000, Disc Arrays and Blade Servers. Responsible for installations, configuration problems, break/fix and minor software issues

Primary focus was to participate in the Juniper Certification Track and obtain the required certifications. Responsible for installation and configuration of Juniper Enterprise Network Equipment. Involved in installation and deployment of managed services agents and software.

Abtech acquired the Datagate Field Engineer Division on 9/2009. Primary focus was on providing hardware technical support on HP 3000/9000 equipment. Supported MPEix and HP-UX Platforms. Performed field repair and onsite troubleshooting on many types of computer equipment including Enterprise Servers, Disc Arrays, RAID Systems and Tape Drive Systems.

Datagate acquired the Southern Cross Field Engineer Division on 5/1999. Primary focus was on performing hardware technical support on HP equipment. Performed field repair, troubleshooting and problem diagnosis on multiple HP Platforms including HP-UX and MPEix. Experienced with Disc Arrays, Virtual Arrays, RAID, Tape Drive Systems, and multiple operating systems. Developed technical resource website for engineer problem solving.

Responsible for the startup and management of a remote field office servicing hardware and software maintenance contracts on Hewlett Packard Computer Systems. Primary focus was on the development and management of new contracts. Performed field repair, troubleshooting and problem diagnosis on multiple HP Platforms. Experienced with RAID, virtual arrays and system installations.

Primary responsibilities included managing engineers in the field, training, resolving problem sites, implementing escalation procedures, selling and managing hardware maintenance contracts on Hewlett Packard Computer Systems. Experienced in installation, testing and demonstrating computer equipment and peripherals, specifically the MPEix and HP-UX RISC Systems. Responsible for installing, administrating and maintaining multiple NT 4.0 Network Servers for 20+ users.
