Acting as an Assistant Editor for 5 or more editors at any given time, I was responsible for massive amounts of media. As new projects came through the door, I would transfer and transcode media, set up projects for editors, sync, multi-cam, create backups and archives, and go through a very detailed logging and organization procedure.I was often responsible for additional tasks such as color-grading, creating transcriptions, editing, exports, compression and delivery. I would create and embed closed-captioning for broadcast commercials, get approval from the Television Bureau of Canada, and deliver to broadcasters.
