My passion for learning has carried me through many spaces, from Sunday School to yoga studios and college classrooms to dining rooms. Evolving through learning processes and turning around to evolve those processes for others brought me naturally to a career in learning and development. After getting my start facilitating in-classroom new hire training for back office workers on a government contract, I eventually began managing the curriculum development of multiple learner groups. After years of project-level operations training, I took my career to the corporate space, where I explored enterprise LMS and Workday Learning administration along with eLearning development using Articulate Storyline. While building an understanding of enterprise learning, I began to extend my skillset beyond operations training by contributing to supervisor sills training, which introduced me to the world of professional development. Since then, I have set my focus on developing power skills training to help employees optimize their impact in the workplace and support their wellbeing. Adjusting to a primarily remote work environment, I have found success in constructing live webinars that concentrate on creative engagement to drive the audience's learning. These remote modules are easily adaptable to an in-person setting, allowing for versatility of learning events across various programs. Along with my deep appreciation for my privilege to execute on my passion for learning as a career, I recognize the platforms of access and influence I maintain within my organization. I believe it is my responsibility to use these platforms to educate the workforce for a human-centric future that is characterized by mutual understanding and respect. It is an honor for me to co-chair BELONG, our employee resource group for LGBTQ+ employees and allies. As a member of the leadership committee, I contribute to maintaining a safe space for queer employees and their allies to connect and generate ideas to support both our communities and the greater employee population.
