TransportationRobert Sanchez joined The GEO Group, Inc. in 2011 after 26 years of distinguished service with the United States Marshals Service. As GEO’s Director of Transportation, Mr. Sanchez is responsible for the operational management of GEO Transportation, Inc. (GTI), including contract negotiations, maintenance and operation of the transportation vehicles, guidelines and cost-related activities. Mr. Sanchez ensures that all transportation activities are accomplished on a timely basis in compliance with federal and state laws, and GEO policies and procedures.

Mr. Sanchez began his career with the United States Marshals Service in 1986 as a Deputy U.S. Marshal responsible for court security, prisoner transportation, fugitive apprehension and execution of writs. During his tenure with the U.S. Marshals, Mr. Sanchez has been promoted to increasingly senior positions, including: Witness Security Program Supervisor, Southeast-Caribbean RegionCountry Attaché, U.S. Embassy, Santo Domingo, Dominican RepublicChief Inspector, Sex Offender Investigations Branch, Florida-Caribbean RegionPrior to joining the U.S. Marshals, Mr. Sanchez served in the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery Sergeant in Friedberg, Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1984.Mr. Sanchez has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida.
