I dealt with both Group teams based from Newbury and individual OpCos across Europe and Africa including Safaricom(Kenya) and Vodacom(South Africa). As a result of winning the worldwide tender for Unix Hardware, the team and I grew IBM "POWER" revenue from zero in 2010 to a regular $7-$8m. The same went for IBM x86 brand where despite the products not be available on Vodafone Global Category, we still achieved a steady $5m /year until Lenovo bought the x86 business from IBM.

This period also included a year as a Sales manager for a Competitive team selling IBM's System x (x86) products into a set of white space customer. (not easy- but grew the revenue 170%). In 2006 I had a 2 year spell as a Major Deal Maker - where we tracked large Government contracts and covered all the possible contractors to align with them for the hardware element of the tender. Notable success was with Serco/Raytheon who won the eBorders Home Office Contract.
