Develop and maintain all legal (OSHA, CAL/OSHA, EPA) and corp. requirements for EHS at this facility. Developed and monitored the plant’s safety system that includes PIT safety, Ergonomics (office and production), vendor management, industrial hygiene program, safety and health programs and training for plant with 320 employees. · · Designed and developed an ergonomics program resulting in the minimization of all strain and sprain injuries. The site was able to achieve the lowest CAL/OSHA recordable rate in the history of the facility. · Instituted a near-miss program empowering employees to correct accident-prone conditions, resulting in the prevention of prospective accidents. · Install an EHS management system which gave better engagement of employees from Director of plant down to the employees operating out in the warehouse. These controls resulted in a 20% reduction in the WC cost and an increase of over 100% of employee engagement.

Developed and monitored the plant’s safety system that includes process safety management (PSM), vendor management, industrial hygiene program, safety and health programs and training for plant with 50 employees. · Developed safety system enabling the plant to earn the CAL/OSHA Voluntary Protection Program STAR Site rating. Plant was only one of three chemical plants in California to earn this coveted status. · Designed and developed an ergonomics program resulting in the elimination of all strain and sprain injuries. No recordable injuries in 4 1/2 years for a physically demanding work environment.· Instituted a near-miss program empowering employees to correct accident-prone conditions, resulting in the prevention of prospective accidents.· Eliminated chemical exposure potential by increasing ventilation and preventing cuts and pinch points by training, safer tools, and machine guards. These controls resulted in a 20% reduction in the safety budget.· Established a safety train-the-trainer program, increasing employee participation by 400%.
