Spearhead development and organization of databases and the implementation of new technologies while ensuring data integrity/recoverability, upgrading databases/patches, and upgrading/maintaining SQLServer databases. Instituted Ensco’s first disaster control system in their FL office from the ground up by devising a back-up strategy & driving organization-wide implementation. Selected to configure and maintain new and existing databases on Solaris, Hpux, and NT4.0, including providing proactive monitoring of all databases for tuning purposes.  Enabled the on-time roll-out of a critical e-commerce project by stepping in to redirect project in the face of six months of poor progress.  Assumed leadership with no prior web development experience, learned systems on-the-fly, and partnered with PriceWaterhouse to drive project to successful conclusion in just six months.  Installed and configured eight Sun servers, Oracle databases, and e-commerce software, including Epicentric, Siteminder, Jrun, JDK, and iPlanet 4.1 by building effective relationships with vendors, consultant companies, and LAN administrators. Facilitated B2B/B2C sales by supporting multiple demonstrations of project/WWW site and resolving technical issues promptly. Assured compliance with all project deadlines by orchestrating communications between Digex personnel and PriceWaterhouse consultants. Overcame rigidity of vendor processes by working onsite at Maryland datacenter to steer Oracle development. Teamed on the installation and configuration of Epicentric, JDK, and Jrun on three servers. Upgraded applications on four new Compaq servers with zero interruption to service and attained all project support deadlines at Fort Irwin and NTS by installing and configuring Oracle databases.
