Having worked a total of 41 years in the private sector and in military service, I retired from the US Army and from IBM. I now participate in multiple areas of service. For me, in my current season of being in retirement, rather than holding onto past accomplishments & titles, my passion is to care for, serve & invest in others. For example, I serve with the Career Network Ministry in the DC/Metro area by providing job search consultation to people in a career transition. I also serve as a responder to Disaster Relief & Rebuild efforts by providing help & hope to families & communities beset by crisis, and natural & man-made calamities. Most of all, I am thankful for being placed in my church home to love, worship and serve God, as well as to care and minister to the needs of people. I am filled with gratitude to those who invested in me throughout my life.Throughout my former season of life in the private-sector, my passion was to work with and drive organizations to achieve major transformational improvement opportunities – having them imagine a bright future beyond the range of their horizon, so that we could develop & convert concepts-for-change (strategic, technical, process, organizational) from the abstract of thoughts and ideas to concrete solutions that matter, add value, & are real.My professional experience included the successful management, execution, and delivery of a broad range of strategic, organizational, process & technical solutions in support of customer needs across multiple Federal civilian agencies & in support of the military services. My military service has deeply influenced me, molding not just my character but also my perspective on life. I'm profoundly grateful for the privilege to have served, and I carry the invaluable lessons from my time in the military with me each day.
