I am honored to lead Madison Community Foundation (MCF), which has a strong 80-year history of enhancing the common good through philanthropy. My entire career has been spent in the nonprofit field, and I have been fortunate to be surrounded by humble, hungry, smart people who are deeply engaged in their work. I am happiest when creating and implementing strategic plans - identifying the unique value proposition, developing the strategy to realize it fully, then aligning actions and making it happen. Fun. Good to Great is my favorite book in the business genre.I have served in many volunteer capacities and on several boards including the Center for Community and Nonprofit Studies, the Wisconsin Philanthropy Network, Evjue Foundation, Colony Brands Foundation, Greater Madison Convention and Visitors Bureau, Clean Lakes Alliance and Parkwood Hills Community Association. I am also a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Madison.I enjoy the outdoors, spending time with my wife and sons, and having a project to tinker with.
