As the Orvis Retail Fly Fishing Manager at the Darien, Connecticut location my main role is sales, while supporting the customers in their quest to be better at fly fishing. My secondary role is to help promote the Orvis sense of adventure in the outdoors, and to provide second-to-none customer service and support (for customers as well as staff).This role includes teaching, and personalized instruction or advice in all aspects of freshwater and saltwater fly fishing, wing shooting, outdoor safety, apparel, gear, Orvis Adventures, the Orvis brand and our core values.I also assist the store manager in recruiting, developing, coaching, and encouraging the Darien team to inspire customers to love the Orvis sense of adventure and wonder in nature.On a daily basis I am a lead sales person, manager, coach, merchandiser, social media coordinator, marketer, and problem solver-All of which I love doing. Because in the end, my job is solving the customer’s problems and helping them enjoy the outdoors!
