I lead the DevOps team for the SUN project at The Weather Channel. • Implemented an API solution in the cloud (AWS, SoftLayer, Google Compute) that services over 2 billion hits per day for Weather-related data (iOS, Android, Web), serving hundreds of separate clients. • Later re-implemented the same API in a new cloud provider (IBM/SoftLayer). • Moved internal infrastructure from Puppet to Chef, utilizing a central set of Chef servers. • Streamlined and improved release process, implementing checklists and central documentation.• Promoted from Senior Systems Engineer to Manager, Systems Engineering/DevOps
