I'm Michal Bogacki, a high school math teacher in Norfolk, Virginia. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s in computer science (with an emphasis in computer engineering) from Norfolk State University in 2018, and I am currently studying biochemistry at Arizona State University. The business I co-founded, Civics Certified, leverages AI natural language models to effect positive change by providing powerful tools to support drafting legislation, conducting research, and educating users. My skills include electrical and electronics engineering, programming in C++, C/UNIX, Java, use of data structures, database analysis, Python as well as some Web development. I have six years experience as a patent examiner, computer engineer, for the United States Patent and Trademark Office.As a native speaker, I'm 100 percent fluent in written and spoken Polish; I’m also highly proficient in written and spoken Spanish and possess basic knowledge of French. I'm also a classically trained pianist, composer, multi-instrumentalist and music teacher in the Hampton Roads area.At Norfolk State University, I had worked for in the Office of Information Technology, division of Academic Computing, and actively participated in research for the Department of Technology involving statistical analysis of program evaluations. My senior-project research with the NSU Computer Science Department focused on computer-assisted matching and analytics for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS). The final product won second place in its category.
