With this role, my insurance journey adds to its P&C (home, auto and commercial) the Creditor Insurance exposure. This role also exposed me to automating old, manual, processes from legacy systems. This led to a wealth of data sources being available to complement the data from the warehouse and thus, to create a complete picture to analyse. Insights that were not available (and practically impossible to perform) prior to my joining the team:- who is not in compliance with our mandatory course policy and take action on that - who needs to be reminded to take courses, while also creating user profiles based on their course selection. So instead of telling them to go take more courses, we worked on telling them what courses were best suited for their role and based on their course history.- who leaves incomplete sales actions in their backlog - how was an entry in the Sales Action Pipeline influencing the Account Manager's yearly targets- what was the correlation between Participation Rate -eligible loans vs insured loans- (what the SAMs were seeing as their guiding KPI) and premium targets (what they were really measured on)- ultimately, capturing all of this information in one storytelling report.

Analysed the company's key metrics to see how they hold up in various scenarios using real data, with the scope of improving/decommissioning/creating new metrics based on results. For example, retention, online quote to bound ratio, new business were proven to be contentious when broken down by day vs by a higher time hierarchy. Other results led to a company wide initiative dubbed 'One Version Of the Truth'.Assisted the commercial arm (Sovereign) where I implemented models for policy retention and drove theanalysis around modifying old policy systems in preparation for the transition to Azure DB. That algorithm was used extensively for all my Sovereign work.Participated and drove all the analysis needed to integrate policy rules to fit with existing ones at cooperators. This was done in Python. Had regular presentations with the stakeholders showcasing the results. Acted as a liaison/SME between our developers and the Sovereign data warehouse.Assisted our actuaries with analysis for the Risk Selection Tool (Sovereign), proving their assumptions that basing a model on the policy's main building (by Total Insured Value or Written Premium) was more than 80% accurate on multi-building policies. Also done in Python.Improved the user adoption project with data storytelling, from knowledge base session analysis to project dossiers rollouts and stats.
