About Bogdan Matuszynski "Bogey"
Hello! I’m Bogdan, also known as “Bogey,” and I am the founder of an international education organization, iSERVE, where I have worked with various NGOs, businesses, and other entities that focus on peacebuilding, conflict resolution, violence prevention, and international service education. *I look forward to connecting and please let me know how I can be of assistance*AREAS OF EXPERTISE: Non-profit, government, teaching, and entrepreneurial experience specializing in the areas of international affairs, strategic analysis, social and economic development, and human centered design strategies.MY "WHY?": As a first generation Polish-Mexican-American, my family’s story of immigration for political security reasons led me to appreciate international security as the child of a refugee who immigrated the USA. However, now as a social entrepreneur, and multiple international award winner who didn't always have the right connections, I am motivated by the challenges associated with bringing together the people, organizations, and resources required to promote and sustain capacity development. I'm energized by the results of promoting good governance and helping people succeed in their own ways.I enjoy coordinating and organizing management plans, implementing training, providing direction to help keep operations running smoothly even if remotely, and educating community members through awareness.I presented my international security research to find ways toward better global human security. Working with various assets, I assisted in the return of trafficking victims, as well as aided operations in counterterrorism and to combat human and drug smuggling. I have held the role of a Peer Support Member and also interned as an American Red Cross Case Manager providing referral or emotional support to grieving individuals and their families, partners, and children, in times of need.
