A 45 year old organization it has stayed dedicated to teaching and honoring the great legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Throughout my time working with “The Black Heritage Society” (the group responsible for overseeing the festival) I learned a great deal about marketing events and coordinating a team to help promote tickets and better promote the brand. Taking place during the federal holiday on the third Monday of each January with a commemorative parade and celebratory festive community activities throughout the weekend.
