Working on the renowned live-action show Marvel Universe Live, I ensured the safety of performers, staffers, and audience by conducting regular maintenance and inspection of flying systems. My primary responsibilities included: Set up and dismantled complex flying systems, including truss structures, lifting winches, and other critical gears and components regularly checking for disrepair and maintenance needs. Trained cast and crew on safety standards and rescue procedures. Oversaw set up and use of pyrotechnic and flame effects for the live-action show. Monitored impact of effects and extinguished post-use fires/burns  Trained staff members and performers on the safe handling of pyrotechnic guns and flame effects. Engaged gas monitoring knowledge to check for leaks in propane tanks

Working inside a circus-tent stage environment, carefully designed, inspected, installed, and maintained flying systems used for special effects in the Peter Pan show. Additional responsibilities included:• Developed performance rescue system, and trained team members on safe practices for rope access work.• Loaded/unloaded performers and props from flight lines during live performances.

In this role, I installed, configured and maintained a variety of power distribution centers for live performance shows. Other responsibilities included:• Worked collaboratively with building personnel, electricians, and generator technicians to set up grid structures, power distribution, pyrotechnics, and lighting systems.• Operated a variety of sophisticated equipment including spotlights, firing boxes, and joystick-controlled trollies. • Collaborated with manufacturers to troubleshoot and resolve issues with a $250K trolley that had been rush-ordered and built with mismatched parts.
